Exceptions: In limited circumstances, we may collect:
Such data is processed only with your explicit consent and is subject to enhanced security protections.
21A.1 Camera Permission: Our mobile application requests access to your device's camera (android.permission.CAMERA) and photo library solely so that you can capture or select images for the following in-app features:
21A.2 How Camera Data Is Used: Photos you capture are uploaded directly to our secure storage and associated with your account. We do not access your camera in the background, record audio or video without your action, or use your camera for facial recognition, identity verification, or any biometric processing.
21A.3 Your Control: Camera access is optional. You may deny or revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings — the app will continue to work, but the photo-upload features listed above will be unavailable. Photos you have already uploaded can be deleted from your profile at any time.
21A.4 Sharing: Uploaded photos are visible only as described in this Policy (e.g., your avatar is shown to drivers and dispatchers handling your ride; community post images are visible to other community members). We do not sell or share photos with third-party advertisers.
21B.1 Automatic Enrollment: When you sign in to our mobile application, your device is automatically registered with our push notification provider (OneSignal) using your email address as a unique identifier. This allows us to deliver timely, account-specific messages such as ride status updates, driver-arrival alerts, scheduled-ride reminders, payment confirmations, and security notices.
21B.2 OS-Level Permission: On first launch, your device's operating system (iOS or Android) will display a permission prompt asking whether you want to allow notifications. Granting permission is optional — the app will continue to function if you decline, but you will not receive any push notifications.
21B.3 Data Shared with OneSignal: To deliver pushes we share the following with OneSignal: your email address (as an external user ID), a device push token issued by Apple/Google, your device type and OS version, and the notification content itself. We do not share your ride history, location data, payment information, or contacts with OneSignal.
21B.4 Your Control — Unsubscribe at Any Time: You can disable push notifications at any time by either: (a) toggling off "Push notifications" in the Account tab of our app; (b) revoking notification permission in your device's system settings; or (c) emailing us at hamburgnytaxi@gmail.com to request removal. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately on the device you change the setting on.
21B.5 Categories of Notifications: Operational pushes (ride status, arrival, payment, security) are sent to all opted-in devices. Promotional pushes (offers, loyalty rewards) are only sent if you have not opted out of marketing communications under Section 16.
We do not currently collect or process biometric data (fingerprints, facial recognition, voice prints). If we implement biometric authentication in the future, we will update this Policy and obtain your explicit consent before collecting such data.
We maintain records of account credits, loyalty points, promotional code usage, and transaction history to provide loyalty rewards, process refunds, resolve billing disputes, and prevent fraud.
Financial data is stored securely and is subject to the same security measures as other personal information. Payment card information is tokenized and processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment processors.
24.1 Driver Data: In addition to the data collected from all users, we collect additional information from drivers including licensing, vehicle registration, insurance, background checks, earnings, shift hours, and performance metrics.
24.2 Driver Ratings: Customer ratings and feedback about drivers are used to maintain service quality and may affect driver eligibility and assignments.
24.3 Earnings Data: Driver earnings, tips, expenses, and shift summaries are maintained for payroll, tax reporting, and financial record-keeping purposes.
